In January, we're convening our very first Classics book club meeting on January 31st at 10:15 AM! This month, we will be discussing 1818's Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. A copy of the book purchased from our store is your "ticket." Thanks to Haley Fuller, a Classics major, for joining us as host!
If you enjoy the book, don't forget that a movie came out in October 2025 starring Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as the Creature, with Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz as supporting roles. The movie follows the life of Frankenstein, an egotistical scientist whose experiment in creating new life results in dangerous consequences.
About The Book:
A stunningly creepy deluxe hardcover edition with spot gloss, black sprayed edges, black-stained pages, and black endpapers.
The epic battle between man and monster reaches its greatest pitch in the famous story of Frankenstein. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor himself to the very brink. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship . . . and horror.
