Steven Owen Shields is a former all-night disc jockey and present-day professor of
communication at the University of North Georgia. He is the author of two full collections:
Creation Story (Brick Road Press, 2019) and Daimonion Sonata (Birch Brook Press, 2005).
Self-published chapbooks include Random Acts of Childhood, and Valentines for Many People.
These celebrate poems in forms while offering surreal visions of the creation and end of the
