About the event

Join The Book Bird for an evening of cocktails, refreshments, and books! Two powerhouse Atlanta Authors, Colleen Oakley and Avondale resident, Mary Kay Andrews join us in conversation consisting of a reading, book signing, Q&A, and of course cocktails. An event you won't want to miss.

Colleen Oakley is the USA Today bestselling author of five novels, including The Invisible Husband of Frick Island, You Were There Too, Close Enough to Touch, and Before I Go. Her books have been translated into more than 20 languages around the world, lauded by numerous magazines including People, Us Weekly, Library Journal, and Real Simple, and won multiple awards including Georgia Author of the Year.  A former magazine editor for Women's Health & Fitness and Marie Claire, Colleen lives in Atlanta with her husband, four children, a flock of chickens, and a mutt named Baxter.

Mary Kay Andrews is the New York Times bestselling author of 32 novels and The Beach House Cookbook. Her most recent novel, The Homewreckers, which is about a woman recruited to star in a DIY reality show about home renovation, reflects her personal love of buying and fixing up old houses--including the three she and her family have bought and restored over their forty year residence in Avondale Estates. A former reporter for the AJC, she and her husband Tom currently cook and garden in a lovingly remodeled 1926 cottage.
